Venus of Willendorf

Venus of Willendorf is an ancient statue of a naked woman. The statue is 4.5 inches tall and made from limestone. This statue was carved about 25,000 years ago. It was found in Austria. The woman looks to be obese or overweight. It was unlikely for woman to be overweight in this time period because of the scarcity of food. Archeologist think that a model was used to make is statue. After this was discovered more and more statues where discovered and being made using this as an example. Regions are becoming more and more developed because they now have good agriculture, technology, and now are advancing in art.
