History of Scotland from the 14th to 16th Century

In 1314 Robert the Bruce defeated the English at Bannockburn. In 1320 Scottish gained Independence. In 1371 Robert II becomes the first Stewart King. In 1402 the English defeat the Scots. In 1513 James IV and many other Scots were killed at Flodden. In 1568 Mary, Queen of Scots, flees to England following the defeat of her army at the Battle of Langside. In 1578 James VI takes over government from his regent, James Douglas. In 1587 Mary is beheaded by the order of Queen Elizabeth I of England.
